Refund Policy for The Sewing Cat Lady

At The Sewing Cat Lady, we want you to be thrilled with your sewing journey. Because we sell digital products (videos and downloadable content), our refund policy is a little different from a shop selling physical fabric or thread.

1. The "Digital Nature" Rule

Due to the nature of digital content, all sales are final once the content has been accessed, streamed, or downloaded. Unlike a physical sewing machine, digital videos cannot be "returned" to us once they have been viewed.

2. When You Can Get a Refund

We will honor refund requests under the following specific circumstances:

  • Duplicate Purchase: If you accidentally bought the same video twice, let us know within 14 days, and we will refund the duplicate.

  • Technical Defect: If the video file is corrupted or the stream does not work due to an error on our end, we will first attempt to fix the issue or provide a replacement. If we cannot resolve the technical fault within a reasonable time frame, a full refund will be issued.

  • Unaccessed Content: If you purchased a video but have not yet clicked "Play," started the stream, or initiated a download, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase.

3. How to Request a Refund

  1. Your Order Number.

  2. The email address used for the purchase.

  3. A brief explanation of why you are requesting a refund (e.g., duplicate purchase or technical issue).

4. UK & EU Consumer Rights (The "Cooling-Off" Period)

If you are located in the UK or EU, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel an online purchase. However, for digital content, this right expires the moment you begin streaming or downloading the product, provided you were informed of this at the time of purchase.

 

By clicking "Play" or "Download" on any of our videos, you expressly agree to waive your 14-day right of withdrawal.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

We cannot offer refunds for:

  • "Changing your mind" after watching the video.

  • Deciding the sewing project is too difficult (we encourage you to reach out for help instead!).

  • Finding the same information for free elsewhere.

  • Accidental purchases where the content has already been accessed.
